- Happo P ond: Located at an altitude of approximately 2,060 meters, Happo Pond is a mysterious natural pond. Located halfway up Hakuba Happo One, it is famous for its spectacular view of the three Hakuba mountains reflected beautifully on the surface of the water on a clear day. The trail is well maintained, and even beginners can easily enjoy the alpine nature. From Hakuba Station, take a 5-minute bus ride to Hakuba Happo, and from Happo Station, take the gondola to Happoike Villa.
- Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort: This mountain resort offers a variety of activities in all seasons while enjoying the seasonal views of the Northern Alps. The panoramic view of the Northern Alps from the summit terrace “HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR” is especially breathtaking. It takes about 15 minutes from Hakuba Station by shuttle bus (*Please check the operation status and timetable when using the Iwatake Shuttle Bus).

You can also view the three peaks of Hakuba from Oide Park, one of the most famous view spots in Hakuba Village. It is about a 15-minute walk from Hakuba Station.
- Hakuba Happo One, Rabbit Flat: Located at an elevation of 1,400 meters, this is a spot with spectacular views. The open terrace with a spectacular view of Yatsugatake and Mt. Asama in the distance and Hakuba Village below, and “Hakuba Mountain Beach,” which is like a beach lounge, offer an extraordinary experience. From Hakuba Station to Happo One (Happo Gondola) is about a 7-minute bus ride, an 8-minute ride on the Happo One gondola lift “Adam,” and alighting at Usagi-daira Station (summit station) (*Only the gondola lift can access Usagi-daira. It takes about 45 minutes from Hakuba Station to Ogisawa Station by car (from Ogisawa Station, take the cable car and bus).
- Kurobe Dam: The Kurobe Dam boasts the highest embankment in Japan, and its powerful sightseeing water discharge is a must-see. With Kurobe Lake and its huge volume of water in front of you, you can enjoy the view from various angles: the observation deck, the outer stairs, and the new observation castle plaza. - Jigokudani Y aen-koen: Located in Yamanouchi Town, Nagano Prefecture, the Jigokudani Yaen-koen is world famous for its wild Japanese monkeys, known as “snow monkeys” that bathe in the hot springs during the harsh winter cold. The park is about 1.5 hours away from Hakuba Village and can be enjoyed only during the winter season. Many tours are accompanied by guides who can also speak English and provide detailed explanations of the monkeys’ ecology and behavior. In this rich natural setting, visitors are enchanted by the approach to the shrine, which is known for its beauty and is lined with more than 200 giant cedars stretching approximately 500 meters. It takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes by car from Hakuba Station.
- Kagami-ike Pond: Located in Togakushi, Nagano City, Kagami-ike is called “mirror pond” because the surrounding nature and mountains are reflected like a mirror on the surface of the water, as its name suggests.
